KALLIOPI'S STORY

Kalliopi Tsagaris has been surrounded by the decadent aroma of pastries & confections her whole life. She is a third generation baker - her grandfather was a well established Pastry Chef & Banquet owner back in Constantinople, Turkey. Her parents later owned Elite Bakery, a Greek bakery in the city's East end for more than 20 years! ​​It was there that Kalliopi learned how to make traditional Greek pastries, cakes & wedding cakes.

After a brief stint in teaching, Kalliopi decided to pursue her passion in confectionery arts. She swiftly completed courses at George Brown College, Bonnie Gorden's College of Confectionery Art &  McCalls Baking School.
